Excitement was writ large on the faces of children and couples as the bubbly mascot of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and friends performed at Modhesh World on Thursday, kicking off the 52 days of fun and entertainment this summer.

As the music reached its crescendo, kids watching the 40-minute interactive show started clapping and jumping from their seats inside the 1,000-seat theatre.
